We provide School Age Care as an approved Child Care Service, managed by Avalon School Parents & Citizens Association (P&C) as a not Not-For-Profit Organisation.

Your Child will attend with a combination of ages ranging from grade Kindergarten – Year 6. Our Service has an attendance cap of 85 Children per session.

If you have not indicated on your registration form the days you will require for next year, please let us know as soon as possible so we are able to put your child on our roll.

As you have enrolled your child in school and OOSH you will be able to utilise our service in the January holidays.  We encourage all our new parents to register for Vacation care in January as it will give your child an insight into OOSH.  They will also meet children from a range of ages before starting school, giving them a little extra confidence.

We are more than happy to allocate a time for you to visit our centre with your child, we would love to show you some of the things we get up to. Please don’t hesitate to call or email us if you have any questions whatsoever. We are here to help.

We understand that mornings with little people can be difficult.  We want you and the kids to have a smooth transition from home to OOSH and then to school.    If the morning gets away from you and breakfast doesn’t happen, put it in a container and have it at OOSH.

 If the shoes don’t go on, put them in a bag and we will sort them.  Especially in the first weeks of the term….pick your battles.  We are always here to help where we can.

Now here are some things you can do to help us:-

Please advise your child’s teacher of their OOSH schedule.  They will bring them to the meeting spot for the first weeks of the school term.

Please remember to  advise both OOSH and the class teacher if they will not be attending After School Care.  You will incur a $5.00 search fee if we have to chase up a missing child.

You must advise us if someone else will be collecting your child and provide written authorisation via email.

 If they are not on your pickup list, they will need to provide photo identification.

Please remember that if your child has any allergies, asthma or anaphylaxis you are legally required to fill in a current Risk prevention, and an action plan.

Please tell us if your child has any favourite snacks we can include in our afternoon tea to make them feel welcome.
