We have been having a fabulous time this week celebrating NAIDOC week at OOSH. On Monday we welcomed Glenn from Bombora tours to the centre to share his knowledge of indigenous plants and their uses. We all enjoyed some Lemon Myrtle tea and learned lots of new and interesting information about our local native plants.
On Tuesday and Wednesday we enjoyed some stunning craft activities, with the children adding to their Indigenous display making “fires” and Rainbow Serpents.
Tomorrow is Wheels Day, a frequent request from the children. Please remember that the kids need to have a helmet, covered shoes and either skates, a skateboard or a scooter. No Bikes. We will also have a visit from our Local Police, to give the kids a little knowledge about riding their bikes and scooters around our village safely and respectfully.
Funday Friday will include a disco party. Bring your dancin” shoes for a day of disco dancing. There will be lots of glam, glitter, face painting and fun.
Our Vacation Care program is still up on our website along with the booking form if you have not booked and require care for next week or the pupil free day.
Some of our activities are Incursions and will incur an additional $10.00 fee for your child to attend. This is to help cover costs.
We have had a number of calls this week regarding bookings and cancellations. Many of these have been because of a change of mind. It is our policy that once a booking is made and that booking accepted, we do not offer swaps or changes. This is due to staffing arrangements and the cost involved in supplying activities for the day. We understand that children do become sick, if that is the case, please email to let us know and we will take that into consideration.
Thank you all for our continued support.
